MyZouk's International Zouk Day 2017 — Fundraising for The National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM)
On behalf of The National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM), we would like to urge you to participate in the International Zouk Day (IZD) 2017 organised by volunteers from MyZouk.
The National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) is a registered, tax exempt not-for-profit body established in 1966. It is the first cancer NGO in Malaysia offering a wide range of cancer services and support to cancer patients, caregivers and the general public. Financed entirely by voluntary contributions from the public, NCSM supports patients and caregivers through their cancer journey via its five centres — Resource and Wellness Centre, Cancer & Health Screening Clinic, Nuclear Medicine Centre, Children's Home of Hope and Quit Smoking Clinic. NCSM also has a Cancer Information Service (CIS) which operates as a toll free helpline (1-800-08-1000) to cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.
We are grateful that MyZouk has chosen NCSM as the beneficiary of this event as part of their continuing efforts to raise funds for charities while building local Zouk social dance scene. As part of their 6 weeks fundraising campaign for NCSM, MyZouk is organising International Zouk Day 2017 "Dance for Charity" on 16th September 2017 and offering weekly dance training to all participants and donors who register for the event at MyZouk.com.
The event registration fee of RM50 includes an event t-shirt as well as a donation pledge card which participants may use to help raise donations for the Children's Home of Hope which is managed by NCSM. Children's Home of Hope provides child cancer patients — and their caregivers — from outstation, a comfortable place to stay while undergoing treatment at nearby hospitals in Kuala Lumpur. This "Home Away From Home" is equipped with fully furnished air-conditioned bedrooms, a well equipped kitchen, laundry facilities and a playroom. Donations of RM5O and above are Tax Deductible. Tax exempt receipt for the donated amount will be issued upon request.
We hereby thank MyZouk for organising this unique fundraising campaign where participants get the opportunity to have fun learning Zouk social dancing and at the same time making a lasting impact in the community by raising funds for the children cancer patients.
